DONT LOOK BACK Weapons Tier List
Barrett M82, M16A4, and Peacemaker — provisional pre-alpha rankings only.
This weapons tier list ranks the three published weapon passes in DONT LOOK BACK: Barrett M82 (599), M16A4 (399), and Peacemaker (249). Labels are provisional. Pre-alpha combat can swing after a single update, and random night threats punish players who only buy for lobby flex.
Cross-check prices and alternatives in the game passes value guide, pass priority tiers, and gamepass picker. Non-weapon tools (flashlight, stamina, hotbar) often raise your survival rate more than jumping tiers.
Provisional ranking snapshot
| Tier | Weapon | Robux | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | M16A4 | 399 | Best balance of cost, flexibility, sustained pressure |
| A | Barrett M82 | 599 | Highest ceiling for committed fighters |
| A/B | Peacemaker | 249 | Best budget fight option while learning |
These letter grades will move. We are not pretending there is a year-long esports patch history behind them.
S-tier: M16A4 (provisional)
Why it sits here now: At 399 Robux, the M16A4 is the sweet spot between Peacemaker affordability and M82 prestige. Sustained fire helps when a night forces mid-range engagements across Pine Woods lanes or Redwood Road sightlines, and it remains usable in Backrooms corridors if you control spray and sound.
Who should buy: Fighter players who already clear day objectives consistently and want a primary that works on multiple maps. Also strong if you refuse to drop 599 before utilities.
Caveats: Pre-alpha recoil, ammo rules, and threat armor values can nerf “balanced rifle” fantasies overnight. Re-test after reading Updates.
A-tier: Barrett M82 (provisional)
Why it is not automatic S: The M82 is the premium pass and likely the hardest-hitting fantasy in the shop, but 599 Robux is a steep ask while the game is still early. If stamina, vision, and hotbar are empty, the sniper purchase can feel like bringing a trophy to a foggy sprint.
Who should buy: Experienced fighters who hold angles, communicate in groups (max 22 players), and already survive most nights with cheaper kits. Pair with Survive the Night discipline so you are not firing panicked shots that announce your position.
Map notes: Stronger when sightlines exist. In maze-like Backrooms segments, mobility and flashlight may matter more — see maps tiers.
A/B-tier: Peacemaker (provisional)
Why it ranks here: Peacemaker is the on-ramp weapon pass. It lets you practice fight-back decisions without emptying your Robux balance. Ideal while you still die to unfamiliar threat packs and are building routes with Getting Started.
Who should buy: Mixed playstyles who mostly stealth but want a panic button; anyone bundling Peacemaker with Stronger Flashlight / Stamina Boost instead of jumping to M82.
Upgrade path: Peacemaker → confirm you enjoy fighting → M16A4 → only then consider M82 if you still want more ceiling.
What we refuse to rank
- Invented “secret guns” from script menus
- Limited items with no store proof
- Code-only weapons (there are no active codes)
If a YouTube thumbnail shows a gun that is not M82 / M16A4 / Peacemaker, assume clickbait until the shop matches.
Fighting vs avoiding
Weapons tiers matter only on nights you choose to fight back. Many rounds are still won by silence, pathing, and light control. Run night prep every session. Stealth mains can stay on utility passes and treat Peacemaker as optional.
Team contexts change value too: one M16 covering a doorway while others loot can beat three uncoordinated M82 owners panicking in the open.

All rankings on this page are provisional pre-alpha opinions. Manul Studio can retune damage, spawn logic, or pass contents. After a combat patch, verify in-game before you spend, and check the Links Hub for official destinations only.
Buy the gun that matches how you already survive — not the letter grade that looks best in a vacuum.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for DONT LOOK BACK players.
Is Barrett M82 the best weapon?
It is the premium pass with a high fight ceiling, but our provisional list currently favors M16A4 for overall value. Balance can change in pre-alpha.
Should beginners buy a weapon pass first?
Often no. Flashlight, stamina, and hotbar can save more nights while you learn maps and threats.
Will this list add more guns later?
Yes, when Manul Studio publishes additional confirmed weapons. We will not invent placeholders.
Do codes unlock these weapons?
No active codes are published. Weapon access is through gameplay progression and the real Robux passes listed here.
